Join us this Saturday or Sunday for our annual day of whitewater fun for the whole family! Come enjoy the annual West River Release with Kroka's legendary team of whitewater guides. The West River from Ball Mountain Dam to Jamaica State park is a 2.7-mile stretch of Class III whitewater that rivals any river in New England for fun, challenge, and a splash in the face. With excitement around every bend and coinciding with fall foliage in Vermont, this fall weekend is not to be missed. In addition to a guided rafting trip, we will share a pot-luck lunch, swims in the crisp clear water, and a celebration of autumn surrounded by views of the Green Mountains.
Kroka will be guiding rafts on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday September 24th from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Life jackets, helmets, and water shoes will be provided.
Participants can register for one or both days and may opt to spend Saturday night camping (additional fees may apply). Experienced paddlers may opt to do the run in a canoe or kayak with prior approval from the whitewater team.
Please Bring:
Clothes and shoes for the river (bathing suit, wool or synthetic top, closed toed shoes)
Warm and comfortable change of clothes (to wear after the river)
Water bottle
Pot-luck dish to share
$50 registration fee per person, per day. Details information will be sent to participants via email in the days leading up to the weekend.
