Founded in 2002, the Monadnock Mindfulness Practice Center is a volunteer-run and -funded organization with a mission to provide accessible, approachable mindfulness practice to all those interested. To this end, their several instructors offer regular meditation sittings multiple times a week, a weekly meditation and movement session, a free library of books to borrow, as well as the occasional workshop or multi-week course on mindfulness topics. All programs are by participant donation, ensuring that no one is barred from joining due to financial strain. The overarching mission of Hannah Grimes is to help create and support thriving rural economies by empowering local artisans and business-owners. To this end they offer several programs for establishing a business/non-profit, mentoring, retail space, consulting, and so much more. The Vermont Wilderness School is dedicated to restoring our relationships with nature, ourselves, and each other. They envision a world where every person and every community is able to cultivate a deep connection with the natural world, and their place within it. The core principles of The Roots School: engage with your landscape, grow your wilderness skills, craft a handmade life.
